Grants for extracurricular English language studies

The application submission period is 15 working days, counted from the day following the simultaneous publication of the call resolution and its summary in the Official Gazette of Extremadura.

To promote English during extracurricular hours.

Students enrolled in compulsory secondary education at publicly funded schools.

The beneficiaries of these grants must meet the following requirements:

• Be enrolled in compulsory secondary education at publicly funded educational institutions within the Autonomous Community of Extremadura
• Have family residence in Extremadura at the time of the application or be of Extremaduran descent, in accordance with Law 6/2009, of December 17, on the Statute of Extremadurans Abroad
• Be in possession of a Tax Identification Number, either permanent or provisional, which in the case of Spanish nationals corresponds to their National Identity Document (DNI) number, and in the case of foreign residents in Spain, to their Foreigner Identification Number (NIE), as of the closing date for the submission of applications.
• The household income must not exceed the following thresholds, for which the income tax return of the year prior to the publication of the call will be taken into account:
  • member families: €8,992.20

  • member families: €22,479.43
  • member families: €26,076.52
  • member families: €29,672.55
  • member families: €33,269.64
  • member families: €36,866.74

•  The maximum amount of the grant is €40 per month (forty euros/month). Under no circumstances may this aid exceed the cost of enrollment or the monthly fee corresponding to the afternoon session of the activity.
• To calculate the amount of aid to be granted, the school year corresponding to the year in which the call for applications is published will be taken into account.
• These amounts may be updated in the respective calls for applications derived from these regulatory bases, depending on the variation in the price index for the year immediately preceding the call.
• Eligible period: From October to May of each school year covered by the call.

Funding

Fiscal Year 2024:
 An amount of €919,640 charged to Managing Center 130090000, budgetary position G/222G/48000, funds CAG00001, and financing program 20240316, from the General Budget of the Autonomous Community of Extremadura for the year 2024.

Fiscal Year 2025:
An amount of €1,600,360 charged to Managing Center 130090000, budgetary position G/222G/48000, funds CAG00001, and financing program 20240316, from the General Budget of the Autonomous Community of Extremadura for the year 2025.

Mandatory Documentation:

• Annex I: Application form for grants to promote the study of English at accredited centers within the Autonomous Community of Extremadura.
• If the applicant does not expressly authorize the administration to obtain the necessary information to verify compliance with the economic requirements established in the call, the applicant must provide the relevant certificate along with the application.
• The application must be accompanied by a ¿Third Party Registration¿ form for the student, indicating the bank account in which the aid should be deposited. If already registered, the 20-digit bank account number must be included in Annex I.
• If the applicant expressly objects to the administration obtaining the Tax Identification Document (DNI or NIE) on their behalf, they will be required to submit an authentic copy of the document, in accordance with Articles 27 and 28 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations.
